Red Hot Devil’s action takes place in hell and its main character is an attractive She-Devil with red hair. In that regard, I’d say that it’s not a very original game, despite its theme. It has a focus on fire that is visible in pretty much all symbols that are used, as you will discover yourself. Designed by Microgaming, Red Hot Devil has to give you 25 lines which are used on 5x3 reels. It also pays up to $50,000 and it can trigger for you bonus choices where there are two types of free spins and a Wheel of Fire, plus there are also scatters and wilds that you can land.

Betting requirements

There are a couple of options that are offered here, that you will see in pretty much all slot machines. You have the 25 fixed lines in place, with varying line bets that the player chooses. You have up to 10 coins for each line, so up to 250 coins are usable in these bets. With a maximum denomination of $1, you can wager up to $250 each round, though you can get away with as little as $0.25 and the reels will still spin for you.

Theme & Design

This is a hell inspired theme, so obviously fire will be a major element inside. The symbols that were chosen for the game will vary, some being more appropriate for the topic than others. You have the She-Devil character for example, the redheaded beautiful woman with a fire background behind her. There is also the image of the scorpion, of the devil’s fork, of cards, red 7s, dice, cherries, snakes, red lips and red roses. In every single case, you’re going to notice the fire in the symbol’s design. It gets to a point where it feels a bit too much, especially since you get it in the background as well, though in a more stylized form. When it comes to the actual design, I’ve found it to be good, but not great. There are good points that are worth mentioning here, like the fact that they don’t use Royals, but they do have classic icons in plenty of positions. Overall though, I would call this game average if I would have to compare it with the other Microgaming titles that they designed lately.

Special Features

A very easy feature to describe comes via the symbol which sports the logo of this slot machine. With the words Red Hot Devil written in red on it, this is the wild symbol and the one that you can use in combination with various symbols which are arranged on a line together. The downside is that the wilds are only used on the reels 2, 3 or 4, and so they’re not going to be forming combinations by themselves. They can only be used as support symbols for the others, as long as it’s not the scatters that need their assistance. The scatter symbol is shown as a red diamond heart, with Scatter as a logo and on fire. It’s going to be paying the biggest prizes of the slot, up to 200 times the value of your wager, plus it will be a way for you to access the Bonus Choice, a feature that allows you to pick the bonus that you prefer. The first choice you get is that of the Free Spins with Red Hot Multiplier. It has 10 free spins, with multipliers starting from 1x and reaching values as high as 10x. To increase the multiplier, you need scatters to appear either on the 1st or 5th reel. Wheel of Fire is next, and it will spin and reveal a cash prize. The rewards go up to 160x total bet if you had 3 or 4 triggering symbols, or up to 240x if you had 5. Multipliers are offered as well on the Wheel. Jackpot

Depending on the part of the game where you are, the rewards can vary considerably. The base game pays the most through scatter symbols, right before they give you the Bonus Choice, offering up to $50,000 at that point. The regular combinations pay up to $20,000. The 10x multipliers from the free spins should be able to take that amount up to $200,000 though. It feels like a generous game, with huge potential rewards, particularly if they’re triggered during certain free spins.

Conclusion

Red Hot Devil’s huge potential jackpots are my main reason for wanting to play it again, but it has other pros as well next to its name.
